We are a local association that is committed to positively contributing to a safe, fun, and growing hockey program through the education of USA Hockey certified officials. We take pride in developing quality referees in order to provide the players, coaches, and fans, the highest level of service possible.

COVID-19 Update

Due to Covid-19, the GHOA is requiring that we all take extra precautions in order to protect the health of the players, officials, rink staff, and everyone else at the rink.

Starting immediately, all members of the GHOA must wear a mask while in the rink (including the locker room) while not on the ice. Referees will refrain from the handshake line after the game. Use hand sanitizer upon entering and leaving the locker room. if you choose to speak to a coach or team, put your mask on before engaging with them. Arrive 30 minutes before your game and leave immediately after. No gear left in lockerroom. If you have a fever or are experiencing any other symptoms of COVID-19, please contact the scheduler as soon as possible to get your games covered. Do not work your assignment(s) if you are ill.

Incident Reports (REQUIRED)

USA Hockey officials are REQUIRED to submit a game report immediately following the game for any major penalty falling in the aggressive infraction category, game misconduct or match penalty that is assessed.
